Blanket Of Snow

A blanket of snow
Had covered my soul.
Such a colorless remark
It was better dark.

A different tack
I should have taken back.
A heart of gold
Was turned into a heart of blackness.
A heart of stone
That doesn’t hear the laughter in a sea of sadness.

A rainbow of emotions was lost
All is left is a dim light in a sea of darkness.
Now the thin blanket of snow
Is the only thing that protects my soul.
