Some children lose their fathers,
Others never knew them,
Some not even bother,
Numb, they walk this life; completely numb.
Far too late some repent,
For the love of a child, they never cared.
Youth with a bent spirit that never gave consent,
Continually enduring the stares that only get them scared.
“Let me in, please let me in; I want to help you see.”
Those are the pleas of the fathers of yesterday,
Trying to reconnect with the spirit of the youth that was swallowed by the sea,
A youth that now stands betray.
